In 2011, Midwest Living continues the success of its community-building show home projects by joining forces with Ronald McDonald House Charities to renovate and redesign the Ronald McDonald House in Des Moines, Iowa.

Since 1981, the Ronald McDonald House of Des Moines has enriched the quality of life for children and their families by providing them with a comfortable home base while they seek treatment at area hospitals.

With the hopes of creating a refreshed, comforting and healing environment for the Ronald McDonald House guest families, Midwest Living and its Idea Home partners donated products and labor to recreate living spaces in the home including top-of-the-line appliances, kitchen and bath fixtures, new interior doors, cabinetry, furniture, countertops, fresh paint and a high performance water softening system.
