Pop Tab Program Details
When can you drop pop tabs off? Pop tabs can be dropped off at the House any day of the week between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
What do we do with the pop tabs? The Ronald McDonald House sells the pop tabs for scrap metal and we earn anywhere from $5,000-$6,000 each year. This popular fundraiser not only brings awareness of the Ronald McDonald House to the community, it also helps pay for nights stays for families with seriously ill children in the hospitals.
Get Your Community Involved
Many schools and youth groups around the Central Iowa area are taking part in the Ronald McDonald House Charities Pop Tab Program. Children are able to learn about recycling, math concepts and civic responsibility by using tabs. To find exercises on these subjects, as well as others, Download the Educator’s Packet
