In 2021, a group of friends organized a challenge between their respective football tailgates called the Cy/Hawk Tab Off: PULLING TOGETHER and have held it annually each year since.

The Parton family, from Mahaska county, stayed at our MercyOne House while their daughter stayed in the NICU. The Parton family stayed for 2 weeks and then were able to take their sweet daughter home!
Mom, Yoom, and Dad, Shonn, stayed at our MercyOne House with their son as their daughter, Eva was being treated in MercyOne Children's Hospital. After 31 nights, the Surber family was able to go home!
Christen & Grant stayed at our MercyOne House for 82 nights after their daughter was born 10 weeks early.
Sydney and Cole were just steps away from their daughter, Emberlynn, while they stayed at our MercyOne House for 93 nights.
Nearly 2,000 Iowa youth enthusiastically engaged in 4-H livestock and horticulture exhibits during the 2023 Iowa State Fair.

Jan 7th marks one year of our MercyOne House!
Students of DMU took time to deliver groceries to help families staying at the Ronald McDonald Houses of Central Iowa.

Families from all over Iowa, the US and the world utilize Ronald McDonald House right here in Des Moines.
Fundraising underway for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Iowa thanks to Barrett Boesen Foundation.
The Dryden family utilized the Ronald McDonald House for 20 nights.
The Faris Family utilized the Ronald McDonald House while their son was in the hospital.
Here at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Iowa we are able to keep families close to their children in a hospital or medical facility.
Hansen family spent 2 months at the Ronald McDonald House.
This family came to the United States in September of 2018.
They stayed 2 nights with us during Karl's procedure.
We had a total of 6 spring interns this year!
Ruben was born on September 11th and needed to be transformed to Blank Children's Hospital by Life Flight.

The Riley Family stayed at our MercyOne House for 104 nights while their son, Leland, received some extra care in the NICU.
At 31 weeks, an ultrasound determined their baby girl needed to be delivered early by C-Section.
Adreanna spent 70 nights at our House after going into premature labor due to preeclampsia.
Ella Mae was born at 3:26am in an ambulance on the side of the interstate on the way to the hospital. Read her story!
