Justin and Emily recently welcomed their new twin girls, Artemis and Aneela, who were born at MercyOne Newton Medical Center.
Baby Artemis was having difficulty breathing and was transferred to MercyOne Des Moines with Mom and sister Aneela following the next day. Artemis stayed in the NICU to also get her blood sugar and jaundice under control.
Justin and Emily were referred to the new RMH inside MercyOne Children's Hospital which kept them within steps of their baby. After three nights at the House the family was able to go home.
"Ronald McDonald House has assisted us in numerous ways: They gave us a pack and play for my baby, helped me out while still recovering from the C-Section and I could not get into the bed, and they found a step stool for me to use. It was a blessing!"
